Buying Advice
The below mentioned tips are no fool-proof ways of buying equipment but they certainly help you from getting your fingers burnt!
1. Pressfinders.com aims to provide you with as full a description as possible when buying printing equipment, however it is important to check if the price includes removal, delivery, transport, installation and any unforeseen taxes. Is the equipment sold 'as found' or will it be reconditioned and if so to what extent? Make sure that you get a contract in writing, along with any terms and conditions that may apply, before you do the deal.
2. Try and get proof that the seller, really is the seller and the equipment is not owned by a finance company or any other party before you buy and remember that if the machine is being brokered make sure that the persons brokering it are reputable and may do so.
3. If you can, try and get an expert to look at the equipment and give a report, and if possible, test it out.
4. If you do get a warranty, please make sure you get it in writing and it is quite clear what it specifies.
5. Do make sure the machine is up to health and safety standards for the appropriate country and if it needs to be modified that you have budgeted and planned for it.
6. ONLY make the final payment once you are completely satisfied with what you have bought & how it will be prepared, you know it makes sense.
